Additionally, Peccin unveiled Trufy Toffee — individually wrapped, chocolate-filled caramels in milk and chocolate that pack in 750g bags.
Sukest told Candy & Snack TODAY its new Fun Club brand will encompass all of its gum, filled marshmallows and jellies. New products include Mont Mallow, marshmallows with chocolate, strawberry, mango and lemon filling, and Twists, braided strands of vanilla-flavored, multi-colored marshmallow.
Representatives from Fini were on-hand promoting gummies, marshmallows and bubble gum, all of which are produced in the company’s Brazilian facility. The company says it should have a domestic capacity of 4.4 million pounds per month by the end of 2010.
Fini presented Marshmallow Volcanoes with strawberry filling; Tuninhos Citricos, sour tubes in strawberry, vanilla and passion fruit; and Chicle Bolas de Tênis filled bubble gum, fashioned to resemble tennis balls, in assorted fruit flavors.
Wallerius introduced three pops — Beija Coração lollipops from the company leave a lip print mark after being licked and sell for 15 cents. Pecada 2 em 1 pops paint and tattoo the tongue, sell for 10 cents and come in 500g bags. Also, bubble gum-filled Baboom X-treem sour pops in lemon, strawberry and tangerine sell for 25 cents each and come in 576g bags.
Also available from the company are Walfresh cough lozenge packs in five flavors: menthol, extra strong menthol, cherry with chocolate, strawberry with chocolate and mint with chocolate, three of which are filled. They sell for 50 cents.
New Frutsy taffy bars in chocolate, mango and strawberry from Dori weigh seven grams and sell for 10 cents each. Also from the company is Bumbala chewy candies, which weigh eight grams and sell for 15 cents.
Unveiled at Sweet Brazil, Jazam’s Chokiss are 15g packs of round compound and cereal pieces that sell for 30 cents.
Producing items under its 7 Belo brand, Arcor introduced Big Big 3D lollipops. The filled pops have two layers of hard candy — the outside is cherry, the second layer is lemon, and the center houses mint-flavored bubble gum. Each pop weighs 14g, packing in 600g bags.
Big Big bubble gum, also under the 7 Belo brand, are bubble gum pieces filled with raspberry chewy candy. Display boxes hold approximately 100 4.7g units.
Arcor’s Aerado are 40g aerated milk chocolate bars, which pack in 15-ct displays.
The company also produces premium chocolate bars under its Gold line, which includes a whole hazelnut version weighing 100g that sells for R$4.
Florestal presented new items, which included Brazilian Milk Candy, made from coffee and milk. The hard candies are individually wrapped, shipping in 700g bags.
Lixx chewing gum is sugarfree and comes in mint, peppermint, tutti-frutti and cinnamon. The 8.5g packs ship in 12-ct displays. Lixx hard candies are also available in 20g tins in a variety of flavors, including cherry.
Pirulito Sapolé lollipops, also from Florestal, are fashioned to resemble frogs. They come in green apple, leave a frog “tattoo” on the tongue, and ship in 700g bags.
Coração Tentação or Heart Temptation lollipops are cherry-flavored flat pops with bubble gum filling that ship in 700g bags.
Under its Neugebauer brand, Florestal unveiled a variety of chocolate products including 25g Bonetto bars, which wraps caramel and cookie in chocolate, and coconut-filled milk chocolate Delirio bars, which weigh 29g.
The Neugebauer line also has 100g bars, two of which are dark chocolate with filling. The Love Me bar has caramel creme and rice crisps inside, while Stikadinho Morango is filled with strawberry creme.
Black and White joins the Bib’s line, which are assorted crisp rice balls coated with dark and white chocolate in 40g bags. Other varieties in the line include crunchy, raisin, peanut and banana. Also available is Chocolate 1891, which now features a 20g bar with 70% cocoa.
Investing in Brazilian lollipop manufacturing equipment, Toffano debuted a range of solid ball pops and pops filled with chewy candy and gum. Increasing the size of its four-and six-gram flat and round offerings, Toffano’s Funny Pops are 12g round, plain hard pops; Funny Gut pops are 14g and filled with chewy candy; and Lolly Gum pops, which also weigh 14g, have a bubble gum filling. They sell for 20 cents each in Brazil and ship in 700g bags.
Erlan added cherry gum-filled 14g pops to its line. They sell for 20 cents and pack in 700g bags that feature new graphics. The company also added Flerta brand milk chocolatey cookie crunch 50g bars. They come in 15-ct displays and sell for R$1.99.
New from Parati/Padua are Ervas Finas Hot Crackers in cheddar, ham and pizza/barbecue. They come in four-ct packs that weigh 200g and sell for between R$3 and R$3.50.
