Survey Asks Consumers To Express Their Peepsonality
Bethlehem, PA — According to Just Born Inc.’s 2013 Peeps brand survey, 97 percent of consumers say Peeps are a must-have in their Easter basket and 40 percent of those surveyed have been eating Peeps for more than 40 years.
Ellen DeGeneres resembles Peeps for about one-third of those surveyed, while 25 percent said Katy Perry was most Peeps-like and 19 percent chose Taylor Swift.
Most consumers, 65 percent, prefer to eat one or two fresh yellow Peeps chicks head first, while 35 percent prefer Peeps bunnies and 23 percent like pink Peeps.
Happiness overcomes 69 percent of respondents upon eating Peeps, according to results, while 58 percent smile and 56 percent want more. Peeps are strictly an Easter treat for 46 percent, but 39 percent say they can be eaten any day of the year.
When asked to describe their “Peepsonalities” 41 percent said they're “sweet”, 40 percent are “playful” and 37 percent chose “colorful.”
