Haribo Debuts Smurfs Gummies

Baltimore, MD — Smurfs Gummi Candy is debuting in the U.S. in advance of the “Smurfs 2” movie release in July. It is Haribo of America, Inc’s first licensed product in the country.

The blue gummies are shaped and colored to resemble the various Smurfs characters, each wearing a different color hat. The gluten- and fat-free gummies are available in 4-ounce peg bags with a SRP range of $1.09 to $1.69. The bags feature Smurfs graphics and a window.

Haribo president Christian Jegen explains: “Haribo Smurfs have a classic berry flavor and cartoon nostalgia that make them hard to pass up. The product has been a favorite in Europe for several years, and we expect it to be a big hit in the U.S., especially as Smurfs fans prepare for this summer's movie.”
