Chocolate Council Hosts Two Chocolate Education Events
Washington, DC — The NCA’s Chocolate Council will discuss mindful consumption and the origins of chocolate at two upcoming events held during food health conferences.
The third annual Chocolate Science Symposium will take place during the Experimental Biology conference in Boston in April. Attendees will sample beer and chocolate pairings during presentations about how to incorporate chocolate in a healthy diet. Guest speakers will also discuss the fermentation process and the science behind chocolate production.
Registered supermarket dieticians who attend the Chocolate Council's event at the Shopping for Health conference in April in Arizona will dine on a meal that incorporates cocoa in every course and learn about ways to educate consumers about chocolate and health.
NCA Senior Vice-President of Strategic Communications Susan Smith explains: “Both of these events are part of our outreach to health professionals and retail health professionals to help educate about candy's place in a happy healthy lifestyle.”
