Nestlé Names Cantarell Head Of Nutrition

Vevey, Switzerland — Nestlé SA has named Luis Cantarell head of nutrition in wake of Kurt Schmidt's resignation, according to the company.

Schmidt, formerly deputy executive vice-president in charge of Nestlé nutrition, has resigned for personal reasons and to pursue opportunities outside of the company. The changes will go into effect December 1.

Cantarell, currently president and CEO of Nestlé health science, will keep his current responsibilities while also taking on additional duties, the company reports. Cantarell was the head of Nestlé's Nutrition Strategic Business Division.
