Goetze Names Grand Prize Winner

Ridgewood, NJ — Goetze's Candy Co., Inc., awarded $1,000 to Boy Scout Pack 55 from the Northern New Jersey Council, naming the troop as the winner of the Give & Goetze Initiative.

The initiative began when Goetze asked scouts to complete a puzzle in the September issue of Boys' Life. Troop winners were awarded with Candy-Grams that they were able to personally deliver to a charity of their choice, while one troop won the $1,000 grand prize.

Pack 55's Ken Blair, pack leader, and Michael Sheridan, den leader, said the winnings would be put toward future pack activities and to subsidize the price of summer camp.

John Leipold, director of sales and marketing, says: “We wanted to give the Scouts the ability to spend some time really getting to know the people in their community while giving them a special treat.”
