Slim Jim, Electronic Arts Launch Gaming Promotion
Omaha, NE — ConAgra Foods, Inc., makers of Slim Jim meat sticks, has partnered with video game publisher Electronic Arts in a promotion that rewards consumers with codes redeemable for exclusive video game content, discounts on games and instant-win prizes.
The “Every Code Wins” promotion will run through August 2013, ConAgra reports. Codes can be found on Slim Jim Meat Sticks, Dare Sticks, Dare Beef Jerky and Steakhouse Tender Steak Strips. The promotion also features store displays for retailers.
Daniel Marple, brand director at ConAgra, says: “With a 241 percent increase in U.S. gamers between 2008 and 2011, and 50 percent of males 18 to 29 spending six or more hours a week gaming, we know that gaming is huge, especially among Slim Jim fans.”
