Poplets Launching From Rocky Mountain

Centennial, CO — Poplets, which are toasted corn centers made by halting the popping process in the early stages, are set for release in January 2013 from Rocky Mountain Popcorn Co.

The line will initially feature Chile Picante, Sea Salt & Butter, and Asiago Ranch flavors. The company claims Poplets are all-natural and gluten-free and are made from certified non-GMO corn, adding that the product offers a healthy alternative to fried foods.

Initially offered in three-ounce packs with a SRP range of $1.39 to $1.49, they will ship eight eight-ct caddies per case. A seven-ounce pack will also be available with a SRP of $1.99.

Tim Bradley, chief operating officer, says: “Poplets are a healthy new twist on an old favorite, corn kernel snacks. Because they're super-convection baked, never fried, people can feel good about the whole snacking experience.”
