Peepster Joins Art Car Campout
Bethlehem, PA — Just Born, Inc.'s Peepster chick car, which is a yellow Volkswagen Beetle fitted with an enormous Peep head on its roof, joined other “art cars” at the first Art Car Campout this past weekend at L.L.Bean's Discovery Park in Freeport, ME.
The campout featured a free cookout for visitors and family-friendly outdoor activities, photo opportunities with the “art cars” and giveaways. Participation in the event helped support national parks.
The Peepster has been around since Peeps' 50th anniversary in 2003, and there are now three of the vehicles stationed in different areas of the country. The Peepsters participate in different communit activities every week, and a calander of the events can be found on the Peeps Facebook page.
Other “art cars” that participated in the event included the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile, the L.L.Bean Bootmobile, and the Lindt Gold Bunny Car.
John McGuire, a member of the Peeps marketing team and a Peepster driver, says: “With such a unique celebration, and the opportunity to interact with other corporate mobile icons, we were very excited to be included in the fun. The Peeps brand also has a milestone anniversary soon, and we have invited the L.L.Bean Bootmobile to Bethlehem to help us celebrate our 60th anniversary.”
