Nutella Launches Nationwide “Breakfast Tour”

Boston — Ferrero U.S.A., Inc. began a 12-stop Nutella “Breakfast Tour” last week in Boston, where a truck visited at various locations across the city to hand out free samples of the product to passersby.

The company is distributing bread or waffles topped with Nutella all along the tour. Other cities the truck will visit include New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Orlando, New Orleans, Dallas, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The second part of the promotion takes place though Twitter. Entrants must submit tweets describing their favorite way to wake up with Nutella followed by a hashtag containing the word “Nutella” and their city. The city with the most tweets by December 15 will win a visit from the truck, which will pass out 5,000 jars of the product.

Alisa Srikacha, brand manager for Nutella, says: “We're trying to get consumers to experience the diverse amount of ways Nutella can be enjoyed, and to make them aware of the brand as well as give them the opportunity to taste the product in different ways.”
