Jelly Belly Debuts Tabasco-Flavored Bean

Fairfield, CA — Jelly Belly Candy Co. has released a Tabasco-flavored jelly bean, the company reports.

Jelly Belly says the flavor is so authentic the beans “will ignite the taste buds with a peppery punch that hot sauce fans crave.” The product tastes of red peppers, Avery Island salt, and distilled vinegar as well as a slight sweetness that is present in any jelly bean, the company claims.

The jelly beans are currently available in 10-lb bulk cases with a SRP range of $8.99 to $9.99 per pound. Beginning in December, 3.1-ounce bags will be available with a SRP range of $2.49 to $2.99 and will ship in 12-ct caddies.
