Duke's Small Batch Smoked Meats To Launch

Boulder, CO — Thanasi Foods, LLC, will launch its line of Duke’s Small Batch Smoked Meats in December.

The all-natural product line will include 11 total options. There will be five flavors of beef jerky, two kinds of steak strips, two kinds of “shorty” smoked sausages and one option for beef brisket strips. As with Thanasi's Bigs sunflower seeds line, the majority of the products are co-branded with flavors from condiment manufacturers, including Frank's RedHot, Kikkoman, Stubb's BBQ and Jim Beam.

The jerky, steak strips and brisket will be available in 3-ounce recloseable bags, while the smoked sausage will come in 4.5-ounce recloseable bags, each with a SRP of $6.49. They will ship in eight-ct cases, clip strips and a variety of other display options.

Lisa Merves, director of marketing, says: “It's the first all-natural smoked meat lineup. The thing that's going to get consumers really excited is that it's made with truly all-natural ingredients. Also, we make it in small batches, so it's craft made.”
