Deadline Extended for CLA Nominations

Washington, DC — The deadline for manufacturers and brokers to nominate customers for the 2013 NCA Confectionery Leadership Award has been extended to October 10.

The award is open to confectionery retailers and wholesalers based in the U.S. from any distribution channel.

The award honors retailers and wholesalers who excel at their trade by displaying consistent leadership, driving breakthrough thinking, working toward category growth, leveraging the overall retail profit potential of confectionery, driving category promotion and acting as role models for others in the industry.

The winners of the 2012 award were Paul Minger of Walgreen Co., Val Stansfield of Rite Aid Corp. and John Scardina of Eby-Brown Co. LLC.
