Barry Callebaut Makes Boone CIO

Zürich, Switzerland — Barry Callebaut AG has appointed Peter Boone chief innovation officer. He will assume the role on December 3, the company says.

The promotion also elevates Boone to the Executive Committee, reporting directly to CEO Juergen Steinemann.

Boone was previously vice-president marketing, Australasia. He was also chief marketing officer for the company, responsible for all products in the Australia and New Zealand markets. He graduated with a Ph.D. in business from Erasmus University in The Netherlands.

Steinemann says: “Peter brings a best-in-class strategic marketing background in B-to-C business, and combines this with extensive experience also in B-to-B, innovation and gourmet areas. All this fits well with the chief innovation officer's role.”
