7-Eleven Acquires 125 C-stores
Dallas — 7-Eleven, Inc. has acquired EZ Energy USA Inc. and Handee Marts Inc. convenience stores, the company reports.
EZ Energy sold all 67 of its Easy Trip and BP c-stores in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh markets, as well as its wholesale fuel supply business which supports 20 of its dealer operations. The locations offer mostly BP and Marathon gasoline. The company plans to rebrand the stores in early 2013.
7-Eleven also acquired 58 stores in these markets, as well as locations in West Virginia and Maryland, which were previously licensed to Handee Marts.
Stan Reynolds, executive vice-president and chief financial officer, says: “We also are interested in looking at other locations in these markets to further expand our presence there.”
