Utz Acquires Bachman Company

Hanover, PA — Utz Quality Foods, Inc. has acquired certain assets of The Bachman Co. of Reading, PA, including its brands, distribution, intellectual property, and its manufacturing plant in Ephrata, PA.

Bachman will keep its Reading manufacturing plant and will produce snack items for Utz and others under a new operating name, Savor Street Foods.

Dylan Lissette, President and COO of Utz Quality Foods, says: “With more than 1,000 people we believe that UTZ can really make an impact on increasing the depth, market share and service levels for the Bachman brands. Bachman’s brands have a deep, long sanding loyal customer base and Utz Quality Foods, Inc. will be able to bring these brands to more consumers on our larger distribution platform.”
