Simpson Takes Over As Chair

Washington, DC — Bob Simpson, president of Jelly Belly Candy Co., has taken over from Mitchell Goetze as the chairman of the NCA Executive Board. Peter Blommer, president of Blommer Chocolate Co., has become vice-chairman, and Goetze, who is president and chief operation officer of Goetze’s Candy Co. Inc., becomes ex-officio chairman.

Also joining the Executive Board are Robert Nelson, president of Elmer Candy Corp and David Taiclet, president of Fannie May confections Brands, Inc.

New members to the Board of Trustees include Katherine Clark, vice-president of sales at Capol LLC; Joseph Dutra, president of Kimmie Candy Co.; Patrick Hagerty, president and CEO of Vistar; Michael Koch, vice-president of manufacturing at Morley Candy Makers and Sanders Candy; Greg McCormack, Dynamic Confections, Inc.; Gary L. Parker, vice-president of sales at Storck USA, L.P.; Matt J. Pye, vice-president of trade relations and corporate affairs at Just Born, Inc.; Linda Sahagian, president and CEO of Sahagian & Assoc., Inc.; Mark Tarner, president of The South Bend Chocolate Co.; and Mehmet Yuksek, general manager of Perfetti Van Melle USA Inc.
