No Nutritional Benefit To Organics

Stanford, CA — Organic and conventional foods have little difference in nutritional benefit or safety, according to researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

However, the review of more than 200 published studies found that consuming unprocessed organic foods can reduce exposure to pesticides and other contaminants by up to 30 percent.

Crystal Smith-Spangler, lead researcher, says: “Some believe that organic food is always healthier and more nutritious. My colleagues and I were a little surprised that we didn’t find that.”
