Mars To Open M&M's World Store In Hackettstown
Hackettstown, NJ — Mars Chocolate North America will open a temporary M&M’s World store near its Hackettstown M&M’s manufacturing plant, which has made the candies since 1958.
The store will only be open for business October 16 through 31. It will feature chocolates and M&M’s-themed merchandise, the company says.
In honor of Mars' community involvement, Hackettstown Mayor Maria DiGiovanni will ceremoniously rename a stretch of High Street, where the factory is located, in honor of M&M’s. The name was decided upon by residents, but will not be unveiled until the dedication ceremony on October 16.
The store will contain merchandise featuring a “Made in Hackettstown” logo, and a percentage of the profits from the products will benefit the Hackettstown Business Development fund.
Debra A. Sandler, president of Mars Chocolate, says: “The communities where we live and work are as much a part of our identity as the products we make. We appreciate the recognition from the town and Mayor DiGiovanni and look forward to celebrating with all of our neighbors at our Hackettstown M&M’s World store next month.”
Other M&M's World stores exist in New York, Las Vegas, Orlando and London.
