Frito-Lay Plans $38M Plant Expansion

Killingly, CT — Frito-Lay North America Inc. is investing $38 million in the expansion of its Killingly, CT, distribution and manufacturing plant.

The 370,000-square-foot facility will be updated with advanced technology for material handling and delivery.

The improvements, which follow a $66 million expansion in 2010 that added 70,000 square feet to the plant, are designed to increase efficiency and reduce the facility’s environmental footprint, the company says.

Leslie Star Keating, senior vice-president, supply chain at Frito-Lay, says, “Frito-Lay has a long and proud history in Killingly and we are pleased with the State of Connecticut’s commitment to our continued growth and success.”
