Expanded Hershey Plant Opens
Derry Twp., PA — The Hershey Co. has opened its newest manufacturing facility after expanding its West Hershey Plant, which produces Hershey’s Kisses, bars, syrup and Rolos.
The expansion, named “Project Next Century,” cost the company some $300 million and added 340,000 square feet to the facility, making it the company's largest active production facility.
John Bilbrey, Hershey president, says: “Today we are celebrating our proud Pennsylvania heritage, the growing popularity of Hershey products in global markets, our continueing investments in productive technology and our great workers who make it possible to enjoy these iconic proucts.”
