Student-Designed Packs Debut

Hershey, PA — The Hershey Co. is debuting redesigned packaging for its Pot of Gold assortments, saying it wanted to give a contemporary look to its Valentine’s Day items.

Four heart-shaped boxes were selected from more than 40 designs submitted by students at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

Moira Cullen, senior director of global design for Hershey, says: “Packaging is such an important part of any brand experience, and we are excited to be able to inspire creativity in students and showcase student-designed work on-shelf.”

The 4.6-ounce boxes ship six per display-ready tray and have a SRP of around $5. They are available in premium and truffle assortments, the company says.
