Ring Pop Gummies Debut

New York — Known for decades as the supplier of wearable lollipops, Bazooka Candy Brands is moving into the gummies segment with the launch of Ring Pop Gummies.

Extending the signature Ring Pops line, the new products are wearable and completely edible gummi versions available in strawberry, cherry, watermelon and blue raspberry, the company explains.

John Budd, vice-president of marketing, says: “We are excited to add Ring Pop Gummies to the Bazooka Candy Brands portfolio and give consumers a fun, new way to experience gummi candy. The brand is all about channeling your inner-star power, and we’re thrilled to offer another product that enables kids to command the spotlight while having a delicious treat.”

Rings pack in 1.7-ounce pouches and five-ounce peg bags with a SRP of $1.19 and $2.29, respectively. Pouches ship 12 16-ct display trays per case, while peg bags ship 12 per case.

The company says the planned 2013 launch will be supported by a national marketing and promotional campaign.
