Nestlé Sees Sales Growth
Vevey, Switzerland — Nestlé SA’s global sales grew 6.6 percent during the first half of 2012, totaling $45 billion, while sales in the Americas grew 5.7 percent year-on-year, reaching $13.6 billion, the company reports.
Further, Nestlé says growth in the Americas was driven in part by its core confectionery brands and innovations.
Paul Bulcke, CEO, says: “We are continually opening new routes-to-market to reach emerging consumers, and using new media to increase both our direct engagement with consumers and our return on brand investment. This approach has delivered profitable growth in both emerging and developed markets.”
