Back-To-School Spending To Rise
Los Angeles — About 46 percent of consumers are planning to spend more on back-to-school shopping than they did in 2011, according to online retailer PriceGrabber.com, Inc.
The company claims 63 percent of consumers plan to spend up to $500, compared with 48 percent who planned to spend the same amount the previous year. Additionally, 20 percent plan to spend more than $500, while 17 percent don’t have a back-to-school budget.
Further, 79 percent of shoppers plan to use the internet to find deals, compared with 69 percent in 2011.
