Formosa Rebrands Gourmet Jerky Division

Rancho Cucamonga, CA — Formosa Meat Co. has renamed its Universal Foods Co. division as part of an overhaul and rebranding of its gourmet jerky line.

Now called Golden Island Jerky Co., the division manufactures more than 20 varieties of beef and pork jerky snacks in flavors such as chili lime, curry, Mandarin orange and Cabernet rosemary.

Golden Island products will undergo a packaging redesign and product line extensions as part of the rebranding process. A new website, updated broker programs and a marketing campaign are expected to be launched as well.
