Dispelling The Pop Rocks Myth
Atlanta, GA — Pop Rocks Inc. is asking consumers to film one-minute videos featuring someone ingesting Pop Rocks and a carbonated soft drink in defiance of the urban legend that combining the ingredients could prove harmful.
The company is giving away an iPad as the grand prize during the “Dispel The Myth” video challenge, which runs through June 10.
Digital videos must receive a minimum of five votes on the brand’s Facebook page, facebook.com/poprockscandy, to be eligible for the prize, which will be chosen through random drawing.
The company is promoting the sweepstakes on Facebook, Twitter, and its website, pop-rocks.com.
