Hershey’s Joyce Receives NCA Honor

Miami — Tom Joyce, of The Hershey Co., was honored for his outstanding support of the confectionery industry and the NCA with the 2012 Distinguished Service Award during the association’s State of the Industry Conference.

NCA President Larry Graham presented Joyce with the award as part of a ceremony on Monday, February 27, in front of more than 500 industry peers. The Distinguished Service Award honors individuals who have worked tirelessly throughout their careers, often in cooperation with the NCA, to benefit the confectionery industry in a lasting way.

Joyce, vice-president of customer and industry affairs for Hershey, was honored for working in the best interest of his company and the category. For more than 35 years, he has served at Hershey in various roles including director, division manager and regional broker network manager.

He sits on the NCA Executive Board, and has served on the boards and committees of many other industry associations including the AWMA, NACS, FMI and GMA. He has received Hershey’s President's Cup Sales Achievement Award, and the National Confectionery Sales Assoc. inducted him into the Candy Hall of Fame in 2003.
