Nestlé Expands Spanish Chocolate Plant
La Penilla de Cayón, Spain — Nestlé S.A. has invested $13.6 million to install a new production line for moulding chocolates at its factory in La Penilla de Cayón, Spain.
The production line will expand the factory’s annual production of chocolate to 7,000 metric tons, according to Nestlé. Around 40 percent of La Penilla’s annual production is exported worldwide.
The new line is one of the eight major investments Nestlé has made this year to its European manufacturing operations across the company’s category channels.
