Nestlé Expands UK R&D Center
York, UK — Nestlé is enlarging its global confectionery technology center in the UK, having received approval from officials in York.
Adding 35 jobs, the expansion will affect the pilot plant, a miniature candy plant located in the middle of the facility, as well as the sensory testing facility for taste-testing finished products and prototypes, Nestlé says.
In addition to developing new products, the center will aid in the company’s deployment of new technologies for its production facilities worldwide. The company says it will also be the training center for new hires before they are sent to operation and R&D centers in other locations.
