Cargill Commits $5M To Sustainable Cocoa
Minneapolis — Cargill, Inc. will provide $5 million to support sustainable cocoa production in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana through the next three years.
CARE, an organization working to prevent poverty, is partnering with Cargill for a new program to improve farmers’ access to education, promote better agricultural practices and address child labor in cocoa-growing communities.
Thousands of farmers and their families will be trained about sustainable cocoa, according to CARE.
