Wrigley Launches Altoids App
Chicago — Promoting its Altoids brand, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. has developed “Tune Out,” a free desktop application for Facebook and Twitter users.
The app allows users to select and only receive updates from their favorite friends, while blocking updates from others on their friend list. The company says this ties in with the brand’s message of “knowing what you want and ignoring everything else.”
Consumers can view and comment on updates from up to 16 friends on a single, rolling screen using the app, which can be downloaded at facebook.com/altoids.
