Pack Expo Adds Major Conference

Arlington, VA — Product safety, sustainability and operational reliability are among key topics scheduled for the two-day Grocery Manufacturers Association’s Manufacturing Excellence Conference during Pack Expo International 2010 in Chicago.

The inaugural conference aims to help brand owners develop and implement business strategies, as well as to increase the value of their trip to Pack Expo, held at McCormick Place from October 31 to November 3.

Conference sessions will run November 1 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on November 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at McCormick Place. Speakers include representatives from Mars Chocolate North America; Kraft Foods, Inc.; Lance, Inc.; Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc.; PepsiCo, Inc.; McCormick & Co.; Del Monte Foods Co.; and Target Corp. They will cover such topics as FDA food safety modernization, advances in effective lot tracking and lessons learned in implementing green manufacturing in plants.
