Dollar General Opens 9,000th Store

Goodlettsville, TN — Dollar General Corp. has opened its 9,000th store location with the unveiling of a Fountain Run, KY, retail site.

“We are excited to return to the state where the first Dollar General opened in 1955,” says Rick Dreilling, chairman and CEO.

The company, cited as the largest dollar store chain in the U.S., operates in 35 states.
