Lincolnshire, IL — The Ford Gum & Machine Co. has reached an agreement with Rob Nelson Co. to assume the license, manufacture and distribution of Big League Chew.

Ford will take ownership of Big League Chew January 1, 2011. Until then, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co will continue to support and sell the brand, the company says.

In 2.1-ounce pouches, the gum will be available in original, grape, watermelon and sour apple. It will ship in 96-ct floor displays and 48-ct power wings and will be a part of Ford’s Made In America product line-up, according to the company. Further, Ford says there are several line extensions in the planning stages.
