Azar Nut Receives Highest Food Safety Certification

El Paso, TX &mdahs; Azar Nut, a division of Mount Franklin Foods, LLC, has been granted SQF 2000 Level 3 certification, the most comprehensive quality management system for food safety certified by the SQF Institute, according to the company.

The SQF program provides independent certification that a supplier’s food safety and quality management systems comply with international and domestic regulations, according to the organization.

The facility audit, conducted by Silliker, Inc., was the first time the company had applied for the certification. The audit covers areas including organizational structure, incoming goods and services, process controls, food legislation, inspection and analysis, product traceability and product recalls.
