Lay's Highlights Farmer Contributions

Plano, TX — Lay’s brand chips is bringing the rural farm experience to urban centers through the Lay’s Mobile Farm tour taking place this summer.

The traveling 70-foot long greenhouse features interactive potato-growing exhibits and professional farmers on-hand to discuss growing techniques. The promotion will also supply more than 8,000 starter plants for personal gardens. The tour, sponsored by Frito-Lay North America, Inc., kicks off in New York City July 28 and runs through the end of August in major cities nationwide.

“Many Americans are looking for ways to bring a taste of the simple life to their home and learn more about where their food comes from,” says Justin Lambeth, vice-president, marketing. “The Lay’s Mobile Farm is a natural way for us to deliver that experience to our consumers.”
