Parsippany, NJ — Kraft Foods, Inc. is supporting Smiles Across America (SAA), an oral health program, with a three-year $1.5 million donation through its Trident brand, according to the company.

Five cents from every pack of Trident gum purchased from September 13 to September 19 will be donated to SAA, Kraft says.

The contribution allows the Denver-based charity Kids In Need of Dentistry to join the SAA network, which can now offer in-school oral disease prevention services to 39 percent more schools in the city, the company says.

According to Kraft, the SAA program supports dental services to more than 250,000 children annually.
