Dollar General Wins Freedom Award

Goodlettsville, TN — Dollar General Corp. is one of 15 employers receiving a 2010 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.

The retailer was selected from almost 2,500 companies nominated by National Guard and Reserve members for meeting criteria such as providing full salary, continuation of benefits, care packages and exceptional support of employees who are active military members or veterans.

The award will be presented during a ceremony on September 23 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
