Cocoa Grindings Increase 12 Percent

Washington, DC — North American cocoa grindings stocks have increased year-on-year for the second quarter reporting period.

According to new NCA data, ground cocoa was reported at 117,657 metric tons in the second quarter of 2010, up 12.07 percent compared with 104,982 metric tons for the same period in 2009.

The figures include reported data from ADM Cocoa, Barry Callebaut AG, The Blommer Chocolate Co., Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate Co., ECOM, Ghirardelli Chocolate Co., Guittard Chocolate Co., The Hershey Co., Mars Chocolate North America, Nestle Chocolates & Confections and World's Finest Chocolate, Inc.
