Pure Fun Confections Closes Doors

Toronto, Canada — Pure Fun Confections Inc. is shutting down its operations effective immediately, according to Luna Roth, president.

Citing rising marketing, distribution and raw material costs, Roth says the organic candy manufacturer is putting its brand up for sale. She adds a few Canadian manufacturers have approached Pure Fun with offers for the license, but claims no decision has been made.

”I’m not 100 percent sure that there will be a transference,“ Roth tells Candy & Snack TODAY. ”I’d love to see the brand continue. We succeeded in developing a formulation that not only tasted phenomenal, but was healthful.“
