Bazooka Signs Pop Acts
New York — Bazooka Candy Brands will cross-promote its Baby Bottle Pop products this summer with two popular young music acts.
In addition to national TV advertisements featuring solo artist Mathias Anderle and the band Kicking Daisies, a relaunched web site for the brand will include free mp3 downloads of songs from the artists.
“After working with stellar talent such as the Jonas Brothers, we are looking forward to expanding our roster of musicians to include diverse styles likely to appeal to all of our Baby Bottle Pop fans,” says Ari Weinstock, senior director of marketing for Bazooka, a division of the Topps Co., Inc.
Anderle is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter on the Razor & Tie record label, who recently released his first single, “Shine On,” while Kicking Daisies is a band of 14- to 17-year old musicians. Both acts will showcase their original music and their own versions of the Baby Bottle Pop jingle on the brand web site. Consumers will need to enter a unique code contained in Baby Bottle Pops for special access to music downloads. Products with the codes will be available throughout the spring, according to the company.
