Slim Jim Extends WWE Promotions
Stamford, CT — Slim Jim will ramp-up promotional activities after extending its one-year deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), according to ConAgra Foods, Inc.
The one-year deal builds on Slim Jim’s Spicy Side campaign, begun in 2009, and will involve a number of promotional activities that leverage WWE’s television programming, live events and publications, the company says.
The campaign includes Wrestlemania XXVI and SummerSlam events and partnership with wrestler Edge, who will serve as brand spokesperson. He will make personal appearances for the effort, host a sweepstakes and a mobile phone contest as well as appear in Slim Jim ads, ConAgra says.
According to the company, the campaign integrates TV, experimental marketing, in-store, online and public relations activities and an interactive brand site.
