Taza Releases Limited Edition Bar
Somerville, MA — Taza Chocolate is adding to its line of stone ground organic chocolates.
Three-ounce Chiapan bars, according to Aaron Foster, director of marketing for Taza, feature beans from Chiapas, Mexico, which he says are rare and produce high-quality cocoa products.
The limited edition 75% dark chocolate bars have a SRP of $9.50 and come in 10-ct cases.
The company uses traditional stone mills to grind the beans, saying the process leaves unrefined cacao particles and sugar granules in the finished chocolate, giving the bars a distinctive texture.
Taza’s Chocolate Mexicano line of organic chocolate discs in six flavors is sold in about 600 Whole Foods and other natural and organic stores nationwide, as well as on tazachocolate.com, according to Foster.
