2010 Pack Expo To Feature NCA Pavilion, Expanded Focus
Arlington, VA — Confectionery manufacturers seeking innovations in processing and packaging can hone in on the NCA’s confectionery pavilion scheduled to debut at the expanded 2010 Pack Expo, which is being geared for enhanced focus on processing solutions.
According to the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), which organizes the event, the upcoming show, scheduled for October 31 to November 3, at Chicago’s McCormick Place, is expected to draw more than 45,000 manufacturing professionals and brand managers, offering access to an estimated 2,000 packaging and processing equipment suppliers.
NCA President Larry Graham says: “This is a perfect synergy for our manufacturing community. Having both packaging and processing exhibitors all under one roof and at one trade show will provide added value for our confectionery manufacturers and make more efficient use of time.”
Supplier members will have the first opportunity to reserve exhibit space within the 10,000-square-foot pavilion and will receive a discounted rate to exhibit. According to the NCA, 13 supplier members have already made reservations.
Two other areas have been added to the Expo: The Processing Zone, which will highlight the latest processing technologies, and The Brand Zone, which, according to Kate Achelpohl, director of member communications for PMMI, will showcase packaging innovation.
October’s Expo will also have a new logo and tagline: “Packaging. Processing. One Powerful Show.” Achelpohl says it helps convey it’s expanded focus on the two components.
“You’ve got an entire supply chain solution here. And that’s good for everybody, especially when travel dollars are tighter,” she adds.
